SHELTER®

MEMBRANE
IN PERICARDIUM
BOVINE

SHELTER®

SHELTER® is a complete line of resorbable bovine pericardium membranes, with different resorption times and thicknesses
designed to facilitate bone and tissue regeneration and to ensure a barrier effect in the treated area. Thanks to advanced decellularisation processes, it is a safe and effective solution for dental procedures with high versatility and performance.

Why choose it?
SHELTER® membrane is characterised by its great
easy handling and separates easily from the instrumentation, while maintaining excellent adhesion to the surgical site and making the need for fixation unnecessary in most cases. This reduces the risk of material exposure and facilitates the regeneration process, offering greater safety and reliability in clinical practice. In addition, the range of thicknesses and sizes available makes it possible to customise the approach according to the type of bone defect, further improving the precision and effectiveness of the treatment.

Tailor-made Solutions for Every Clinical Need

The two variants, SHELTER® FAST and SHELTER® SLOW, meet different requirements:

SHELTER® FAST
Designed for surgeries requiring a temporary barrier, reabsorbable in 4-5 weeks, providing reliable protection in a short time.

Dimensions:
15x20mm; 30x25mm; 50x30mm

Thicknesses:

0.2mm; 0.4mm; 0.8mm; 1mm

SHELTER® SLOW
Uses the unique Pericross cross-linking process to ensure slower resorption times (4-6 months). This option stands out for its ability to replace non-resorbable membranes in complex surgeries, eliminating the need for a second surgery.

Dimensions:

15x20mm; 30x25mm; 50x30mm

Thicknesses:

0.2mm; 0.4mm; 0.8mm; 1mm

01 Technical Excellence

SHELTER® membranes offer outstanding mechanical properties. Their tensile strength and three-dimensional structure allow for easy placement and high stability even under complex clinical conditions. In addition, the high hydrophilicity promotes fast adhesion to irregular surfaces, ensuring precise and safe application.

02 Superior performance

SHELTER® membranes create an optimal environment for tissue regeneration by acting as a natural barrier against soft tissue colonisation at the bone graft site. They protect and stabilise the graft material, promoting angiogenesis and osteoblastic proliferation. Their ability to stimulate regeneration of surrounding soft tissue improves the quality of treatment and reduces healing time.

03 Clinical versatility

SHELTER® finds application in a wide range of
interventions: alveolar maintenance, sinus lift, horizontal and vertical bone regeneration, and management of complex defects such as dehiscences or peri-implant lesions. Choosing the right membrane based on resorption time allows practitioners to customise treatment for each patient, improving safety and predictability of results.

SHELTER® is the ideal choice for the practitioner seeking advanced, practical and high-quality tissue regeneration solutions, offering the best for the patient and the clinic.

Clinical Applications

Maintenance of the alveolus and bone crest.

Sinus lift surgery (lateral and crestal access).

Horizontal increase in 2-wall defects.

Vertical increase in 2-wall defects.

Dehiscences and fenestrations in peri-implant lesions.

Periodontal regeneration in infrabony and 2-3 wall furcation defects.

SHELTER® 0.8 - 1mm

SHELTER® membranes with a thickness of 0.8-1 mm are designed to offer high strength, increased graft stability and long-lasting protection. Thanks to the characteristics of the fabric from which they are made, these membranes are characterised by a high tensile strength.
